Job Title: Energy Manager - Sustainability Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Manager to join our Sustainability Team at FM Conway Ltd. As our Energy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Energy Management Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive energy management strategies and policies to achieve ISO 50001 certification.
  • Energy Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular energy audits and assessments across all facilities and recommend energy-saving measures based on audit findings.
  • Energy-Saving Projects: Oversee the implementation of energy-saving projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant energy legislation, standards, and certifications, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Energy Management Budget: Develop and manage the energy management budget and track and report on financial performance related to energy use and savings.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and address any compliance issues, ensuring a timely resolution.
  • Emissions Trading Scheme: Ensure the accurate collection, verification, and reporting of data related to the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and work with third-party verifiers and auditors to validate ETS data.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in energy management, sustainability, and environmental compliance.
  • Education: Degree in Energy Management, Environmental Management Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and compliance requirements, ISO 50001 certification, and energy management systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Ambitious, driven, and proactive individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
