Underwriting Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Underwriting Team Leader to join our established team in Leeds. As a key member of our commercial lines team, you will be responsible for overseeing the team's performance and managing the portfolio to deliver our company's strategy and growth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting, with experience in managing a team and developing strong relationships with regional markets. You will work closely with our underwriters to develop their technical expertise and provide guidance on complex underwriting decisions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the underwriting team to deliver profitable and balanced growth
  • Developing and implementing underwriting strategies to meet business objectives
  • Providing technical guidance and support to less experienced underwriters
  • Managing workloads and referrals to ensure efficient and effective underwriting processes
