Special Education Support Assistant for Complex Needs Students

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Support Assistant to work with students with Complex Needs at a school in the North West. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide support and assistance to teachers and other education professionals in delivering high-quality education to students with Complex Needs
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to promote learning and engagement among students
  • To maintain accurate records and reports as required by the school and relevant authorities
Requirements:
  • A relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Previous experience working with children in the last 2 years
  • Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Previous KS3, KS4 and KS5 experience
  • Two references working with children
  • A current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
