An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Teacher to work in an outstanding independent therapeutic school. As part of the Additional Resources team, you will motivate and engage children through a well-sequenced, child-centred curriculum, ensuring lessons meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage behavior positively, maintaining good order and discipline in line with the school's ethos and procedures.
  • Create an attractive and secure learning environment that maximizes opportunities for children's learning.
  • Oversee assessment for learning, ensuring progress is monitored and used effectively to support each child's development.
  • Foster strong relationships between families, staff, and children, involving parents in their child's development and achievements.
  • Participate in the school's continuous professional development, contributing to self-evaluation and improvement initiatives.

About You

  • You have experience teaching primary curriculum or a secondary subject to children with SEMH needs.
  • You hold QTS with completed NQT/ECT Induction or equivalent teacher training leading to QTS.
  • You have a strong academic background with a good degree in a core subject.
  • You are familiar with child development, learning, and children with SEMH and associated special educational needs.
  • You have knowledge of independent special schools, local authority funding, SEND, and the requirements of Ofsted.
  • You hold an enhanced DBS check.
