Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Materials Strategist to join our team in Reading, UK or Dublin, ROI. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver a supply chain circularity programme that supports our public commitments under Primark Cares.

About the Role
  • In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement a circularity strategy centred upon our global manufacturing base, with a clear focus on post-industrial waste.
  • You will work collaboratively to develop and deploy a best-in-class waste management programme across the supply base, ensuring alignment with regulatory due diligence requirements.

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible working, discounted cafeteria, and Primark Perks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategy Development & Deployment: Collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement a circularity strategy centred upon our global manufacturing base.
  2. Waste Management Programme: Develop and deploy a best-in-class waste management programme across the supply base.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant professional experience in Materials.
  • Technical expertise relating to textiles, synthetic materials, manufacturing, chemistry, engineering.
  • Relevant professional certification (i.e. CEnv or CEng) preferred, but can be worked towards in role if not yet achieved.

The ideal candidate will have extensive, proven experience establishing sustainability programmes within a global business and a collaborative enterprise-wide thinker accustomed to designing and embedding change in large-scale organisations.
