About the Role

Kier Group, a leading engineering consultancy division, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our Kier Professional Services (KPS) team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a wide range of mechanical projects, primarily within the water sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our team to design and develop mechanical projects, including the production of equipment specifications and datasheets from process requirement specifications and P&IDs.
  • Work on large pumping stations and other treatment systems, such as sludge treatment and chemical dosing.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Several years of postgraduate experience in mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience working on pumping stations and other water sector projects.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
