Welding Inspector - Pressure Vessels/Welding QC Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Welding Inspector - Pressure Vessels/Welding QC Engineer to join our successful team. As a key member of our Quality Control team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct non-destructive testing and weld inspection to ensure compliance with industry standards
  2. Carry out quality control of fabrication to ensure high-quality products
  3. Perform weld audits to ISO 3834 to ensure compliance with industry standards
  4. Ensure project processes are compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001
  5. Knowledge of ASME and CSWIP 3.1 is essential
  6. Collaborate with the QHSE team to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
  7. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to improve processes
  8. Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with industry standards
  9. Quality control and inspection of manufactured equipment to ensure high-quality products

Requirements

  1. A good engineering skill set (Apprenticeship, HND, Degree, etc.)
  2. QC experience within a manufacturing environment
  3. Fabrication/welding knowledge
  4. CSWIP certification
  5. PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) knowledge

This role is based in South Lincolnshire, Rutland, and North Cambridgeshire, and is commutable from Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough, Stamford, Grantham, Newark, Nottingham, Northampton, Leicester, Corby, Kettering, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Oakham, Spalding, and St. Neots.
