Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Bridgend. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous running of our production process by eliminating downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance of equipment.

You will work on various types of equipment, including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems, and will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive engineering activities on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent mechanical and/or electrical working knowledge and experience
  • Time served/apprentice trained in a similar position, with recognised Mechanical / Electrical qualifications
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine PPM activities
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production
