Position Overview:

Our school is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Support Assistant to join our team. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

About the Role:
• Provide support to students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, either on a 1:1 basis or in group/classroom settings.
• Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans and behavior management strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet the diverse needs of students.

Requirements:
• Personal and/or professional experience working with students with SEN, particularly ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
• Ability to adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to promoting inclusion and facilitating the academic and social development of students.
