About the Department

We are a leading provider of audit services, and we are seeking an experienced audit professional to join our team. Our audit department is our largest service line, and we are growing rapidly. We provide comprehensive audit services to clients ranging from small businesses to large corporations.

About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished audit professional with previous experience operating at Manager level who shares our enthusiasm for audit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a substantial portfolio of clients, ensuring excellent client service, and making a significant contribution towards the overall future development and success of the office and firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assignments in accordance with our standard procedures and confirm arrangements with clients, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
  • Ensure Assurance quality at all times and assist with internal and external quality assurance, ensuring any actions are completed in line with our and professional standards.
  • Brief staff on clients' businesses and the pre-assignment instructions, to supervise and control the completion of work, and to undertake 'on the job' training and appraisals where necessary.
  • Ensure that jobs are completed within budget and discuss all material points arising with the assignment partner and client immediately, particularly in relation to any anticipated overruns.
  • Perform our review and completion procedures, attend the final meeting with the client, and ensure that the client subsequently receives the final accounts and commercial management letter on a timely basis.
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required.
Requirements

The successful candidate must be ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent and have proven Assurance experience in producing high-quality audits.
