SEN Education Specialist

About the Role
Taught by Teaching Personnel, this role is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the educational journeys of young students with special educational needs. Working in a supportive and dynamic school team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, personalized lessons tailored to the needs of students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, SEN support staff, and external specialists to provide a holistic approach to learning.
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages emotional and academic growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and discuss strategies for continued support at home.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in children's lives.
- Knowledge of SEN-specific teaching techniques and strategies is highly beneficial.
