A Production Technician is required to join our team in Lockerbie, DG11 1LW. This is a full-time position, with a salary estimated at around £11.44 per hour for the first 12 weeks, rising to £15.58 after this period.

About the job

  • This role involves assisting with the efficient running of packing lines in the Production area within a busy milk production and packing site.
  • You will contribute to quality and technical areas in the Production team to ensure the production of high-quality milk products in a reliable and cost-effective way.
  • The Production Technician will be responsible for effectively running Production and Packing lines by using production IT systems.
  • You will perform simple maintenance tasks as required and monitor equipment performance to prevent issues.
  • Maintain a high standard of Quality and Health and Safety, adhering to Arla and customer procedures.
  • Carry out finished product quality checks and demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including weekend and shift work on a rota basis, as well as holiday cover.
  • A strong communicator is required, able to prioritize tasks in a timely and organized manner and contribute to regular department meetings.
