Job Title: Supported Living Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Supported Living Worker to join our team in St Helens. As a Supported Living Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in their own homes.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires flexibility, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care. You will work closely with our Service Users to promote their independence, dignity, and well-being, while also supporting them with daily living tasks and personal care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Service Users with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Assist with managing challenging behavior, using risk assessments and risk management strategies
  • Work collaboratively with our multi-agency team to promote positive behavior management and person-centered planning
  • Follow all policies and procedures, including safeguarding of vulnerable adults
  • Attend regular training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with adults or children with learning disabilities
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support
