About the Role:This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires flexibility, patience, and a commitment to providing high-quality care. You will work closely with our Service Users to promote their independence, dignity, and well-being, while also supporting them with daily living tasks and personal care.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Service Users with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Assist with managing challenging behavior, using risk assessments and risk management strategies
- Work collaboratively with our multi-agency team to promote positive behavior management and person-centered planning
- Follow all policies and procedures, including safeguarding of vulnerable adults
- Attend regular training and development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of working with adults or children with learning disabilities
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality care and support
