Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training Team Leader A Shift to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the Qualified Trainers in ensuring that all employees and agency operatives are trained to meet their job requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Induction and Training Delivery: Conduct weekly paid inductions for relevant shifts, ensuring that all new employees receive comprehensive training and onboarding.
- Food Safety Training: Deliver operative Food Safety training and maintain compliance against this aspect, ensuring that all employees are aware of and adhere to food safety protocols.
- Training Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of key skill training, particularly focusing on Delford and Process Controller training, to ensure that employees have the necessary skills to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Compliance: Ensure that the LMS compliance is above 85% for the shift, including the removal of leavers, new starters entered, transfer/promotions capture for their shift, and ensuring that Line Trainers are focused on training plan delivery.
- Food Safety Audits: Conduct daily audits of colleagues in CCP positions to ensure that they are trained, reducing food safety risk and ensuring customer audit compliance.
- Team Supervision: Supervise Qualified Trainers to ensure greater support, guidance, and instruction, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Ad Hoc Training: Serve as the point of contact on shift for management regarding ad hoc training requirements, such as Technical or Health and Safety operative training post-incidents.
- Training Deployment: Support the rapid deployment of training where a new SOP or work instruction is within the 30-day grace period on the LMS system.
- SOP Review: Review SOPs to ensure that they are Health and Safety, Technically, and Operationally aligned.
- Performance Management: Support the Performance Management process, particularly focused on capability assessment, ensuring that underperforming employees receive the necessary support and guidance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in training and development, particularly in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business improvement.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations.
