About the Role

The FISER Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics and Performance Specialist to join their growing team. As a key member of the performance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy and efficient reporting while innovating and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the ongoing efforts to improve legacy processes, consolidate workflows, and automate tasks as part of a major business overhaul.
  • Handle ad-hoc client queries, both internal and external, and provide accurate and timely responses.
  • Collaborate with the performance team to maintain the quality and accuracy of performance reporting.
  • Automate the production of performance reports, including ex-post risk and characteristics information.
  • Investigate anomalies in data sets and ensure permanent solutions are in place.
  • Lead special projects, taking initiative to contribute, advise, and implement solutions where necessary.
  • Innovate by proposing solutions that add value to the business, liaising with stakeholders to improve business-as-usual processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of all regulatory reports, maintaining attention to detail.
  • Maintain and manage central databases, acting as the gatekeeper for bespoke information requests.
Specific Duties
  • Provide support to the team on all project tasks, including the global data transition project.
  • Handle ad-hoc requests from team and automate where feasible.
  • Train and guide team members on Python, SQL, and process improvements.
  • Engage with global stakeholders to improve business-as-usual task efficiency and automation.
  • Run and maintain daily business-as-usual processes, automating and enhancing efficiency where possible.
Key Skills and Attributes
  • Proficient in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and automation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrates high aptitude for analytical and mathematical tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA for managing large datasets.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with fund investment performance and attribution methodologies is preferred.
  • Experience with Factset, Eagle, or Bloomberg is an advantage.
  • STEM Degree or related.
  • Previous experience in the asset management industry with a solid understanding of retail and institutional products.
  • CFA or equivalent certification is desirable.
