Job Title: Pupil Support Assistant - Enhanced Support Base

Job Summary:

We are seeking two experienced Support Assistants to join our Enhanced Support Base team at Murrayburn Primary School. The successful candidates will work alongside class teachers and nursery nurses to provide support to pupils with a range of diagnosed additional support needs (ASNs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in their learning, play, and general development
  • Work alongside class teachers and nursery nurses to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide assistance with toileting and transitions throughout the school day
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to meeting the needs of our learners
  • Contribute to a positive school ethos by celebrating individual successes and promoting a whole-team approach to supporting pupils with additional needs

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with similar ASN profiles in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support pupils with additional needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a class staff team
  • Flexibility and creativity in approach to supporting young people
