Trainee Estimator Job Description

ROLE: Trainee Estimator

LOCATION: North Kent

SALARY: Circa £25k - £30k

Xenon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Trainee Estimator to join their team in North Kent. As a Trainee Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the production of tenders to support the company's work-winning strategy and growth goals for commercial work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse drawings, scopes, and documents for tender consideration
  • Perform accurate take-offs using specialist software
  • Assist in preparing tender measures, rates, and submissions
  • Identify risks and opportunities in projects
  • Communicate with the main contractor during the tender process to address queries and ensure clarity in scope and detailing

Requirements:

  • Recent graduate or school leaver with strong mathematical, business, or construction skills
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic individual
  • Eager to learn and develop skills
  • Eye for detail and methodical approach
  • Basic IT skills and knowledge of MS Excel
  • Good communication skills
