About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Specialist to join our team in Glasgow, Scotland.

As a key member of our Communications team, you will play a vital role in delivering effective external and internal communications, crisis management, public affairs, and reputation management.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing complex stakeholder engagement campaigns, supporting internal communications, and delivering effective crisis management and media engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement stakeholder engagement campaigns to secure support for our organisation among diverse audiences.
  2. Support the communication of internal communications related to our Capital Works Programmes and organisational priorities.
  3. Deliver effective crisis management and media engagement to ensure a positive outcome for our organisation.
  4. Identify reputational risks and opportunities and develop effective solutions to enhance/protect our organisation's reputation.
Requirements
  1. Degree or equivalent communications experience.
  2. Proven track record at a senior level within private/public sector.
  3. Knowledge of the Scottish political landscape and wider public affairs.
  4. Excellent media contacts.
  5. Understanding of the media landscape relevant to print, broadcast, and online platforms as well as social media.
  6. Technically competent in content creation, editing & introducing new technology.

Please note that the role is offered on a two-year fixed term basis and attracts a salary of £30,069 per year (Band C) pro-rata.
