Carbon Fiber Inspection Technician

The Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our Composites team as a Composite Laminating Inspector. In this role, you will be responsible for leading in-process inspection of laminating operations, taking accountability for ensuring all processes are carried out as specified, and performing visual inspections of final laminated components.
About Our Team:We are a dynamic and innovative team that is dedicated to designing, developing, and racing high-performance cars. As a Composite Laminating Inspector, you will be part of a close-knit team that is passionate about achieving excellence in every aspect of our work.
- You will engage with laminators and team leaders to address any quality concerns, raise feedback with Design and Manufacturing teams, and ensure instructions in drawings, lay-up books, and check sheets are correct and reliable to produce quality parts.
- Categorize and log defects within the internal feedback system, participate in root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent defects from reoccurring.
- The estimated salary for this position is around £50,000 - £70,000 per year, depending on experience.
