We're seeking a skilled District Retail Merchandising Specialist to join our team in Gloucester. As a key member of our field-based retail merchandising team, you'll work with high street retailers on behalf of leading household name brands. Your primary responsibility will be to fill coverage gaps across a defined district, visiting multiple retail outlets to meet district and regional targets.

At eXPD8, we work across various categories, including Books and Entertainment, Fashion, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Beers, Wines and Spirits, and Toys. Your role will involve ensuring fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and shelves are well-stocked.

About the Role:

Confirmed working hours: A minimum of 15 per week

As the role is flexible in nature, your shifts will be spread across 4 to 5 days, inclusive of weekdays and Saturdays. Being available for Thursday mornings from 8am is essential.

This role covers all stores in the Gloucestershire area as and when required.

As you'll be supporting and travelling within a defined area, a full UK driving licence and access to a car that can be used for business purposes is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance and Standards
  • You'll know and stick to the merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures, and health and safety guidance.
  • You'll follow and implement planograms, where provided, to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
  • Product Placement and Replenishment
  • You'll arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
  • Promotional and Point of Sale Setup
  • You'll set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.
  • Strong Communication and Relationship Building
  • You'll build and maintain good working relationships with instore colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
  • You'll provide accurate and timely feedback to our client account teams, via our feedback application, as the eyes and ears in the stores

What We're Looking For:

  • Happy to travel across the defined area
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car that can be used for business purposes is required
  • Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail, and/or customer service
  • Be comfortable with a bit of manual handling You'll need to move and arrange our products from the warehouse to the shopfloor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thrive having ownership of your own work within set time frames, using your own initiative to find solutions
  • Take pride in delivering great standards and service for our clients
  • Experience training or coaching colleagues would be a bonus
  • Are willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (you'll be paid extra to do so)
  • Are confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions about your tasks
