Jewellery Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled individual to play a pivotal role in the development of our High Jewellery business. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Building and implementing effective strategies to prospect High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI).
- Actively participating in the HNWI social calendar and penetrating the networks of the ultra-rich to recruit new High Jewellery clients.
- Identifying VIP customers of other jewellery brands and creating strategies to outreach to such individuals and execute outreach.
- Introducing their client portfolio to the brand and providing weekly/monthly reports on outreach contacts made.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the High Jewellery Business Development strategy, including:
- Coordinating HJ event calendars with the marketing team.
- Allocating HJ stock and calendars with the merchandising team.
- Providing feedback on HJ collections, market-specific HJ trends, HJ requests from clients, diamond sourcing needs to the global HJ special order team and HJ product team.
- Assisting stores in following up HJ requests and ongoing discussions/negotiations on high-value sales to maximize success rates.
- Acting as a go-to for best price requests from stores and following up and advising on HJ price negotiations.
- Monitoring and managing the successful achievement of each store HJ target.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the luxury jewellery industry, with a deep understanding and knowledge of the brand, its products, stones, High Jewellery, history, and services. They will also possess a full understanding of the relevant marketplace and HNWI profile and habits, as well as commercial/hunting instinct, socialite, multi-cultural background, and creative skills in finding new ways of outreaching to HNWI and bonding with VIP and High Potential clients. The successful candidate will also have a strong client portfolio of clients outside of De Beers, experienced in HJ sales, and strong negotiation skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong coaching skills, and the ability to develop others.
