As a Child Protection Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services that provide the best outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Main Responsibilities- Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people by assessing and managing risk, taking decisive actions to protect them from harm.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond promptly and effectively to safeguarding concerns, providing immediate support and intervention to children and families in crisis.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with other agencies, such as health, education, and law enforcement, to coordinate comprehensive safeguarding plans.
- Quality Assurance: Lead and support quality control and improvement activities within the team, ensuring high standards of safeguarding practice.
- Case Management: Manage a protected caseload of children and young people with high-risk factors, ensuring that all interventions are timely, effective, and child-centred.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised qualification in Social Work and registration with SWE/HCPC.
- Social Work England registration.
- A full driving licence and willingness to drive.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
In return for your expertise and dedication, we offer:
- A competitive salary between £45,441 and £48,474 per annum, subject to experience.
- An annual retention payment of £2,000.
