Key Responsibilities:
  • Personal Care and Support: Provide high-quality personal care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained.
  • Activity Support: Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their well-being and quality of life.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medication safely and accurately, following established protocols.
  • Report Writing: Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Team Working: Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure the best care for residents, promoting a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Partnership Working: Work in partnership with external agencies, families, and visitors to the home, building strong relationships and ensuring seamless care.
  • Behaviour Management: Support residents with dementia or challenging behaviours, using positive behaviour management techniques to promote a safe and respectful environment.
Essential Criteria:
  • Qualifications: Level 2 in Health and Social Care, ideally Level 3 or willing to secure this qualification.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) or a senior looking to advance, with experience in supporting adults with dementia or challenging behaviours.
  • Skills: Medication trained, excellent personal care and support skills, activity support, report writing, team working, and partnership working.
