About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team at NHS North Of England Commissioning Support Unit. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Practice team, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information, including registration, updates, and correspondence.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and quality of care.

Requirements

  • Computer literate with experience using GP clinical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • GCSEs at grade C or equivalent (or 4-9), including English and Maths.
