We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our finance team at a fast-growing organisation in Tiverton. The ideal candidate will have experience with end-to-end payrolls, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach.

About the Role:
  • Prepare and run bi-monthly payrolls for approximately 600 staff members, including processing statutory payments and pay increases.
  • Maintain the pension scheme accurately and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Liaise with the HR team to update payroll records in accordance with contract amendments and new starters/leavers.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with year-end tasks, such as preparing P60s and resolving discrepancies.
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of £28,000-29,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include 28 days annual leave, a pension scheme, flexible working hours, and ongoing training opportunities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in payroll management, preferably with an end-to-end knowledge of payrolls.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
