Job Title: SEN Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join our team in Coventry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational development and well-being of children with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Individualized Educational Programs: Plan, deliver, and evaluate tailored educational programs for students with special educational needs.
  • Foster a Supportive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment to encourage student engagement and achievement.
  • Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with Educational Professionals: Work with other educators, support staff, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Communicate with Parents and Caregivers: Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Promote Social and Emotional Development: Promote social and emotional development through tailored support and intervention strategies.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Recognized in the UK with a specialization or significant experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Experience Working with SEN Students: Proven experience working with children with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Strong Understanding of SEN Legislation: Strong understanding of SEN legislation and best practices in inclusive education.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patient and Empathetic: Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the individual needs of each student.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
