Locomotive Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Locomotive Technician to join our team at a key rolling stock client based in Leicester. This is an initial 2-year fixed-term contract with opportunities for long-term growth.
Responsibilities:- Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required
- Support condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces
- Perform secondary checks of the work of colleagues (four-eyes principle)
- Answer technical questions from colleagues and handle practical questions asked by the Client
- Provide assistance and technical feedback to the RAMS / Performance Engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents
- Served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds/ BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias and NVQ level 3 or to a proven similar standard
- Extensive professional engineering experience in (rolling stock) maintenance
- Knowledge and experience in modern technical systems and fault finding techniques
- Strong knowledge, experience and understanding of risk and safety in the workplace from a production perspective
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
