Job Introduction

We're seeking a skilled Operator - Asset Inspector to join our team at our Crewkerne depot. As an Asset Inspector, you'll be responsible for inspecting our distribution network assets, including those up to 132kV, and other assets with statutory inspection regimes.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to be able to interrogate our computer systems to identify inspection tasks, drive to site to undertake inspections, and record results. You'll also be required to report any immediate risks or dangerous issues to your manager. A full driving license is essential for this role.

We're looking for a flexible and responsible individual who can work quickly and decisively to meet the demands of the role. You'll need to be able to deal with customers in a courteous and professional manner, portray a positive image of our company, and be mobile throughout the area.

Requirements

To apply, you'll need to hold English and Maths GCSE (1-9/G-A*) or equivalent qualification. Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment. Please note that job roles involving working at height and the use of Personal Fall Protection Equipment have restrictions on the maximum weight of the individual.

Security Clearance

This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service check, depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
