Truck Driver 7.5 Tonne

Barker and Stonehouse Ltd is a family-run business founded in 1946 with a strong reputation for great products and superb presentation. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic 7.5T Driver to join our team at our Crawley Warehouse.

• Vehicle safety, maintenance, and cleanliness
• Daily route planning and control of delivery documentation
• Safe loading and unloading of furniture to customer properties and warehouses
• Communication with customers, stores, and warehouses
• Some furniture assembly in customer properties
• Collection of returns and recycled furniture
• Plan and drive to predetermined appointments with due care and attention
• Liaise with customers to confirm delivery times
• Ensure furniture is unwrapped and checked for any damage prior to leaving the customers properties
• Maintain vehicle to the legal requirements and as outlined in the Drivers handbook
• Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations

• A Class C1/C license, digital tachograph card
• CPC qualified
• Self-motivated and hardworking
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of multi-drop deliveries within the furniture industry would be advantageous
• A flexible approach to working hours including being able to work overtime
• Able to work on your own initiative and as a member of a team
