We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Emergency Department. As a Paediatric Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and their families in a fast-paced emergency setting.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in paediatric nursing, with experience in emergency care. You will be confident in your ability to assess, diagnose, and treat children with a range of conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening illnesses.
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to children and their families. This will include assessing patients, developing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose children with a range of conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening illnesses
- Develop and implement care plans to meet the individual needs of each patient
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide education and support to children and their families
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care
- Registered Children's Nurse with active registration
- Educated to degree level
- EPALS/APLS certificate
- Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses/training in specialty
- Child protection qualification (or to complete in post)
- Physical Assessment skills
- Nurse prescriber
- Minor injury qualification
