About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dietetic Assistant to join our team at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Dietetic Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Dietitian to address the nutritional needs of service users.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist the Dietitian in working with individual service users or groups of service users using a range of approaches.
- Develop accessible information and other supportive materials/resources for carers, families, and other professionals.
- Work with other registered Health Care Professionals to address the nutritional needs of service users under the direction of the dietitian.
- Organise and participate in Dietetic Team meetings and in wider team meetings.
- Form professional relationships with clients with eating disorders and communicate with them in a way that respects their views, autonomy, and culture.

Person Specification
- Good knowledge and ability around addressing the nutritional needs of service users under the direction of the dietitian.
- Good knowledge and understanding of mental health problems, learning disabilities, and/or dementia.
- Able to organise and plan and prioritise own work activities.
Essential Qualifications
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent.
- Vocational qualification in health and social care (care certificate; level 2/3 diploma).
