Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Pencoys Primary School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of provision as set out in the children's Individual Education Plans and Educational Health Care Plans.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to provide a high-quality learning experience for our students. You will be expected to be proactive in identifying and addressing the needs of individual pupils, and to contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of lessons and activities to small groups of students
  • Assist teachers with planning, preparation, and assessment of student work
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with special educational needs
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to achieve shared goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories
  • Experience of working with students with special educational needs
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
