Location: London/Hybrid / 3 days a week

Overview:

Rokstone Underwriting, a leading MGA and Lloyd's of London coverholder, seeks an exceptional Operations Director to drive strategic leadership and operational excellence.

Role Summary:

This role operates at a senior level, overseeing the setup of best-in-class processes and systems. The successful candidate will lead on building a key function in a growing, evolving business, leveraging strong people management skills and internal stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of all MGA operational teams.
  • Ensuring standard operating procedures are followed and updated through defined change control processes.
  • Completing ad hoc and regular process reviews to identify improvements and enhancements.
  • Implementing process improvements from start to end.
  • Working with Projects/IT teams to scope and implement technological improvements.
  • Ensuring data quality through data quality assurance checks.
  • Accountable to Business heads for administrative services.
  • Operational MI/Reporting on data quality (Board level KPIs).
  • A key member of Group Data governance framework.
  • Owner of Admin Training programme - training of teams and new joiners.
  • Using formal reporting mechanisms to notify relevant parties of perceived new risks or failures of existing control measures.
  • Considering the effect of actions taken on customers, with the intention of improving their experience.
  • Providing accurate, complete, and appropriate data, in accordance with the Company's data policy.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of insurance and Lloyd's market processes.
  • Relevant law and regulations knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to analyse data and present results in a clear and concise manner at a senior level.
  • Advanced IT skills.
  • Experience of training and coaching support/operational teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
