We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Air-conditioning Technical Services Manager to join our team at Gleeson Development Ltd.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the Architectural, Engineering, and Design/Planning activities of the region, from initial land appraisal through to final adoption of a development.

This is an exciting opportunity for Technical professionals to shape the future of the Gleeson brand and lead a highly talented team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the evaluation and appraisal of development opportunities and provide information required to purchase land.
  • Advise on and secure planning approvals, delivering and reporting as per Group policies and processes to meet the Region's business plan.
  • Manage external planning, architectural, and engineering consultants to ensure that all design information is received, coordinated, and distributed on time and within budget.
  • Progress initial communications with technical specialist suppliers and contractors.
  • Provide the RMD and Land Director with operational and tactical planning reports and assessments, presenting clear and reasoned planning advice in terms of potential risks/opportunities and likely planning gain requirements.
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification and/or broad experience in Technical/planning with an Engineering focus.
  • Good strong knowledge of the full development/Technical process/Commercial awareness.
  • Broad knowledge of the legal frameworks associated with planning management and development procurement.
  • Previous experience as either a project or discipline manager within a development organisation.
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Awareness of Type approval with NHBC, LABC, and SBD.
  • Good Organisational skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements.
  • Numerical and Literate.
  • Broad awareness of H&S/CDM regulations.
  • Technically competent in using AutoCAD.
