Job Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care duties such as toileting, washing, feeding, and manual handling (including hoisting) and transfer.
  • Supporting clients in maintaining their independence by assisting with practical tasks such as shopping and community activities.
  • Maintaining essential record keeping through brief written recording on individual client records.
  • Undertaking domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Complying with Health and Safety requirements in respect of manual handling and transfer hoisting and the use of protective equipment to aid infection control.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A qualification or proven ability in literacy and basic mathematics.
  • A commitment to achieving NVQ Level 2 qualification.
  • An understanding of personal/physical care needs.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and privacy.
  • Proven experience in a caring capacity.
  • The ability to attend to and assist with a range of physical care needs.
  • The ability to work without close supervision.
  • Empathy with the needs of the relevant client group.
  • The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
  • The ability to maintain/complete records.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
