Woodwork Educator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Woodwork Educator. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching carpentry skills and be able to pass on their knowledge to students. As a Woodwork Educator, you will work with senior lecturers and the head of department to ensure our delivery is world-class and that we produce work-ready students for employment or career progression.

The salary for this role is £38,000 - £45,000 per annum. Located in Birmingham, the successful candidate will enjoy a generous allocation of annual leave, including 38 days' paid leave per year, 12 Bank Holidays & Concessionary Days, and Teachers' Pension Scheme with employer contributions of 28.6%.

The Role
As a Construction Skills Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to students in carpentry and related skills. You will need to have relevant experience in construction and be able to keep up-to-date with industry innovation. We welcome applications for part-time or full-time contracts.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior lecturer and head of department to ensure that our delivery is of the highest standard. You will be expected to contribute to the development of new courses and programs, as well as participating in quality assurance and improvement activities. Your expertise will also be sought after to provide guidance and support to other staff members. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student progress and providing regular feedback to students. Additionally, you will be required to attend regular meetings with the head of department and senior lecturer to discuss student performance and progress.
