About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biology Teacher to join our team at a well-established secondary school in Dover. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Biology curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Biology.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure continuous development.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Provide extra support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to enhance learning outcomes.
- Participate in school events, parents' evenings, and staff meetings.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Biology or a related subject.
- Previous experience teaching Biology at secondary level (Key Stages 3-5).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and commitment to student development.
- An Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
