About the Role

The Blavatnik School of Government is seeking a skilled Communications and Social Media Officer to join our External Relations team. Reporting to the Media and Communications Manager, the successful candidate will lead the communications and marketing activity to deliver recruitment campaigns for degree programmes, and manage the School's social media platforms. They will create engaging written profiles and spotlights of students and alumni for the School website, and project manage the Kyoto Prize at Oxford. They will produce external e-newsletters, maintain the School's website, and take a lead role in marketing the School's public events and internal communications.

About You

We are looking for a talented individual with outstanding communications and writing skills, an interest in topical issues, and a sharp intellect. The successful candidate will play a critical role in promoting the School's thinking, people, and stories to a range of audiences, and in doing so help fulfill our mission. They will be a gifted storyteller, able to creatively communicate the extraordinary and innovative work of the School and of the inspirational people in our global community. Highly collaborative, they will be a self-starter with experience of fast-moving and demanding environments, a proven team player, and possess a flexible and can-do attitude. They will also undertake day-to-day administrative tasks, so willingness and diligence in the face of routine duties is critical.
