About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualized support to students in the classroom and during outdoor activities;
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and preparation;
  • Helping students with their emotional and physical needs;
  • Participating in group activities and outings, including visits to a nearby farm.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be adaptable, patient, and able to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people and has a strong desire to make a positive impact on their lives. You will need to have:

  • Relevant qualifications in teaching or learning support (not essential but desirable);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with colleagues, students, and parents;
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
