About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sales and Customer Relationship Manager to join our Business Development Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in selling traded services and commercial products to schools and other customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell traded services and commercial products to schools and other customers.
  • Review Commercial Transfer Agreements for academising schools.

This is a twelve-month fixed-term position to cover maternity leave, with the potential to extend, depending on service requirements.

Buckinghamshire Council is a relatively new organisation that combines the strengths and expertise of the previous five councils in the county to create positive change for local people, communities, and businesses.

Team Overview

The Business Development Team are a small but dynamic team who are the front door for customers and provides a broad range of services including triaging and resolving customer enquiries, supporting our online shop and sales management systems, updating social media, hosting events and account and billing queries.

Requirements
  • You have a strong background in sales and customer relationship management, with the ability to understand and promote a diverse range of products and services.
  • Resilience and adaptability are essential, as you will be required to react quickly to change, managing customer expectations whilst delivering high-quality customer service.
  • A GCSE/NVQ3 level or equivalent education, including English & Maths, is also required.

As an 'any-desk' worker, you'll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements.
