About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Volunteer Teaching Assistant for Adults. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting learners in achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the tutor in the general running of the session, ensuring a smooth and productive learning environment.
  • Work alongside the tutor to plan and prepare sessions, including classroom set-up and organization.
  • Provide administrative support throughout the duration of the course, including tasks such as data entry and record-keeping.
  • Attend external meetings relating to the course, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Excellent social skills, with the ability to form positive relationships with learners and colleagues.
  • Patience and the ability to motivate learners to achieve their goals.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and encourage learners to learn about their local community and its resources.
