Dedicated Personal Care Assistant for a Young Person with Complex Needs

The UKCIL team is seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to provide dedicated support to a young person with complex needs.
The successful candidate will work flexible and mutually agreed hours with the young person, including some weekends, school holidays, evenings, and nights.
The young person is a 10-year-old with an infectious personality, who enjoys music, dancing, reading, socialising, and going for walks.
They live in a adapted home in North Somerset with their Mum and are an only child.
The ideal candidate will be confident, patient, and able to think on their feet to keep the young person engaged.
They will also be creative and able to plan fun days out or activities.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- At least 2 years' experience working with young children with severe learning and physical disabilities, including personal care.
- Trained in paediatric first aid.
- Experience of tube/pump feeding.
- Clean full UK driving license.
- Experience of transferring in and out of equipment (standing frame, chair, walker) by hoisting.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Experience driving and operating a WAV (Wheelchair Assisted Vehicle).
- Experience with Eye Gaze technology.
- Current DBS certificate.

- Pay: £15.85 per hour.
