Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Finance Operations Manager to join our finance team.
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production of accurate and timely accounts, managing payroll and transactional accounting, and maintaining financial records with the utmost accuracy.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in finance/accounting, with a proven track record of efficiently managing financial systems, Word, and Excel.
They will be able to form and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Manager in producing accurate and timely accounts for the organization.
- Manage payroll and transactional accounting, ensuring that all payments are made accurately and on time.
- Maintain financial records with high accuracy, reconciling control accounts monthly for the production of management accounts.
- Work closely with the Finance Manager to set and monitor budgets, deliver accurate reports, statements, and spreadsheets as required.
Person Specification
Essential
- A good eye for detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Organized, with good time management skills and initiative.
- Ability to proficiently use Office and finance software packages, including Excel spreadsheets, Word, and internet systems.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a minimum standard of GCSE (Grade A-C) or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Part qualified accountant with a professional accounting body or part/fully qualified AAT.
Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus membership of the NHS Pension scheme and a minimum of 27 days annual leave (plus Bank holidays).
