Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandiser to join our team at Success Talent. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing the trading of the Ladies MTO department, planning future ranges to maximize sales opportunities and profit potential, and minimizing markdown spend.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze weekly reports to inform future range planning and sales strategies
  • Manage intake and exit margins to optimize profitability
  • Plan and execute promotions and markdowns for the department
  • Analyze past performance to build future strategies and identify trends
  • Build relationships with other departments to drive business growth
  • Train and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives
  • Contribute to meetings with senior management to discuss business performance and strategy
  • Attend supplier meetings to negotiate and agree on terms

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and suppliers
  • Ability to work at pace in a high-energy, pressurized environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail merchandising department
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze data and create reports
