Wood Machinist Position

We are seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join our team at a highly reputable manufacturer of tooling. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery, preferably with experience in milling or grinding.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and some form of inspection experience. They will also be comfortable working a rotating shift pattern and running two machines with fairly short machining cycles.
The Wood Machinist will be responsible for operating a 5 axis CNC machine to regrind carbide tooling, using various inspection equipment to ensure parts meet the required quality standards and tolerances. They will work alongside wider Machinists as part of a team to ensure production targets are achieved collectively.
As a Wood Machinist, you will have the opportunity to learn advanced machining skills, such as programming, and develop a career as a skilled Machinist/Engineer. The company offers a competitive salary, 22 days holiday, and scope for some overtime at a higher rate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a 5 axis CNC machine to regrind carbide tooling
