The Role

This role requires experience working in a fast-paced purchasing environment with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. You should have varied exposure to product sourcing across local and national suppliers.

We offer a competitive basic starting salary of **£40,000** per annum, plus bonus/incentive schemes, a flexible employee benefits package including annual leave, additional holiday purchasing scheme, contributory pension scheme, free parking, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support efficient procurement processes to meet sales and profit targets by sourcing products at competitive prices, ensuring quality, and meeting delivery timelines.
  2. Negotiate prices and service agreements with local suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards.
  3. Liaise with the Category Manager and Procurement Manager to align RDC procurement strategy with company objectives.
  4. Ensure timely and cost-effective RDC purchasing transactions, administering purchase orders and associated administration efficiently.
  5. Manage the tender process to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms from suppliers.
  6. Source alternative suppliers when necessary to diversify the supplier base and mitigate risks.
  7. Monitor quality and service levels regularly to maintain high standards and address any issues promptly.
