Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Officer to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive advice, guidance, and practical support to Managers and employees regarding a range of employee relations issues. You will also be responsible for drafting and updating HR policies and procedures to meet organisational and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive advice, guidance, and practical support to Managers and employees regarding employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary & grievance matters, and absence management.
  • Draft and update HR policies and procedures to meet organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Support the employee engagement plan and health and wellbeing focus days to increase engagement and address areas of concern.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager to select candidates and manage the recruitment process.
  • Assist and coach managers in the assessment, development, and performance management of employees.
  • Oversee the production of monthly payroll and support the annual pay review process.
  • Take ownership of HR Administration processes and guide the HR Administrator in the efficient and accurate delivery of all HR Administration activities.
  • Support the Head of HR in implementing organisational change and ensuring legislative compliance.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Managers and employees.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, providing direction, coaching, and support to colleagues.
  • Emotional intelligence and the ability to demonstrate confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with all issues of business.
