Major Recruitment Sunderland seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical system development on large-scale infrastructure and energy projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and selecting electrical systems and control/distribution schemes.
  2. Preparing, checking, and maintaining electrical engineering design and documentation using SmartPlant Electrical (SPEL) and PTW or Trimble (formerly Amtech) software.
  3. Leading electrical work for project management consultancy projects, including engineering design checking and advising clients on technical matters.
  4. Carrying out engineering analysis, design, specification, and procedural work.
  5. Supervising assigned electrical engineers and designers.
  6. Producing and checking design project deliverables on time and to budget.
  7. Supporting bid development and man-hour equipment/materials estimates.

Vacancy Requirements

A strong knowledge of electrical engineering aspects of various project phases from conceptual study through FEED and EPC to commissioning and operation is required. Additionally, experience in working knowledge of codes, standards, and accepted working practices in the Oil & Gas Industry and good application skills of electrical design software packages are necessary.

A Degree in Electrical Engineering and Chartered Engineer status are considered advantageous.
