Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at The Bridge, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service in Middlesbrough.
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred services to individuals with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. You will work closely with the team to develop and implement therapeutic plans, leading group sessions and building one-to-one relationships with service users.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a designated caseload, using theoretical and practical experience to complete assessments, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes aligned to care plans.
- Lead group therapeutic sessions, helping individuals develop and improve their speech and communication skills.
- Build strong relationships with service users and their families, encouraging engagement and empowering recovery.
- Contribute to audits and research in the provision of treatments, demonstrating specialist skills in dealing with complex cases and cultural and linguistic differences.
- HCPC registration
- Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of dysphagia
- Experience of working with families
- Evidence of continuing Professional Development
- Annual salary of £45,259.30 pro rota
