Job Title: SEND SEMH Forest School Outdoor Learning Tutor

Woodventurers Woodland Learning ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate Forest School Educator to join our team. As a SEND SEMH Forest School Outdoor Learning Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to children in an outdoor environment.

Job Summary

We are a local term-time alternative education provider working in Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas. Our mission is to provide engaging and enjoyable learning experiences that cater to the needs of all children. By working in a calming and natural setting, we aim to improve mental health, well-being, and academic achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to children in an outdoor environment.
  • Use observation and student review to monitor progress and inform teaching practices.
  • Complete programme evaluation using our feedback system to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Attend regular in-house professional development sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure all safeguarding obligations are met and adhere to our policies and procedures.
  • Show commitment to safe working practices and the use of risk assessments to maintain a safe environment for all.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in teaching and learning in an outdoor environment.
  • Knowledge of SEND and SEMH principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
